Only a handful of high school athletes have appeared on a solo SLAM cover over the course of the brand’s history. That could be some added pressure for an 18-year-old who is already viewed as one of the rising stars of women’s basketball. As a Dad with daughters who play basketball I was stoked to get the call for this one. It also marked my 5th cover for SLAM Magazine. Paige was joy to work with and took direction extremely well. Her uniform looks with the “Pinnacle” Air Jordan VIs were iconic. I was ecstatic when she wanted to wear a Stranger Things t-shirt for her lifestyle look - I immediately knew we had to do some special lighting for that.
